A Patient's Guide to Heart Surgery
Notes to Family and Friends
Encourage your loved one to move back into activity. Support each effort that he or she makes.
Your loved one may feel depressed or frustrated--these feelings are common after major surgery. You might even feel them yourself. Talk it out--tell each other your feelings.
Try not to be overprotective. Let your loved one do what he or she feels able to do.
