For radiofrequency ablation to cure atrial fibrillation, the AtriCure Ablation and Sensing Unit, combined with the Atricure Hand Piece, allow the surgeon to make linear, transmural lesions, using discreet field bi-polar radiofrequency to target ablative energy on any surface or tissue type, while simultaneously measuring the change in conductive properties of the lesion as it is created.
