Responsiveness is the keystone of our practice. We have created a system that allows our surgeons and support staff to be highly responsive to patients, referring physicians and managed care organizations.

Referring Physicians

USC Cardiothoracic Surgeons serves as an active referral resource for physicians from across the Southland, as well as nationally and internationally. Whether the referring physician is located around the block or around the globe, we are dedicated to staying in close touch. We keep our referring physicians well-informed about their patient’s progress, and promptly send their patients back for follow-up care. We are available to referring physicians 24 hours a day, and serve as a resource for physicians who need a rapid consultation.

Managed Care Organizations

Our practice has systems in place to remain highly responsive to managed care organizations. We work closely with our third-party payors and hospitals to ensure that patients receive cost-effective care while maintaining the highest quality care. We constantly welcome feedback from our third-party payors, and consider them part of our team to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients. In fact, we invite medical directors and representatives from medical groups to our annual retreats so that they can be part of our goal setting for the next year. This spirit of cooperation fuels our practice.
