Dietary Fat
Fat from foods. Fats contribute calories to the diet and, in fact, supply more than twice as many calories per gram as proteins or carbohydrates. Dietary fats may be saturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated or a combination. Most foods that contain fat have both saturated and unsaturated fats. Because too much fat intake may raise cholesterol levels in the blood, total fat intake should be limited.
